The Democratic Peoples Republic of the Hot Dogs - a.k.a. the Hot Dogs, the Republic - is not your average cricket club.

Formed in 2004 to play in the inaugural Shanghai Cricket league, a Republic was declared in 2006 following the June 17th Paddling Pool Revolution.

While the catalyst and details of the Revolution remain hazy, in the 18 months since uniting behind the principles of democracy, mandatory fines sessions and anti-Bashery, the Republic has dominated the Shanghai cricket scene, including back-to-back league and international sixes titles.

The Republic is always looking for new citizens to join its competitive, social and junior teams, and embraces, often literally, men, women and juniors of all nationalities and walks of life. We are a very social group, so whatever level of cricket in which you may be interested, or even if you're just looking for a midweek beer, feel free to get in touch and find out more.
